40th ANNUAL CONFERENCE OF THE
MID-ATLANTIC MOSQUITO CONTROL ASSOCIATION

The 40th annual conference will be held January 13-15, 2015 at the Hilton Savannah DeSoto, 15 East Liberty Street, Savannah, GA 31401. Conference room rates at the Hilton for single or double occupancy are $119 (plus 13% tax and a $1/night occupancy charge). Rooms can be reserved online at the following link: 2015 MAMCA Room Reservations or by calling (877) 280-0751. If you call, be sure to say that you will be attending the MAMCA meeting. Space is limited, so reservations must be made by Monday, December 15, 2014, after which time the room rate is not guaranteed. Valet parking is available for $20.00/day. Self parking is available at the Liberty Garage for $13.00/day.
The full conference registration fee is $120.00 and includes all breaks, supplier’s social and lunch banquet. One-day registrations are also available. Payment must be by cash, check, or money order. Credit cards are not accepted. Please register before Monday, December 15, 2014 to avoid late registration fees.

* Mid-Atlantic Mosquito Control Association (MAMCA) Outstanding Student Award *
The MAMCA’s Outstanding Student Award is presented by the association to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of a college student pursuing a degree relating to mosquito control or systematics, vector-borne disease, or related discipline that the Association deems appropriate. The award recipient must be a resident of one of MAMCA’s nine member states or must be attending a school of higher learning in one of MAMCA’s nine member states. The member states are Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.
The award recipient will be an invited guest of the Association and will present their research project to the Association at the annual conference. MAMCA will provide limited compensation for hotel accommodations; costs associated with the annual meeting registration and ground/air transportation expenses. A $500.00 award will also be presented to the recipient at the annual conference. The funding for this award is made possible through the generous financial contributions of Adapco, Inc., Summit Chemical and Univar USA.
Individuals may nominate themselves. The recipient must attend and present at the 40th Annual Conference of the Mid-Atlantic Mosquito Control Association in Savannah, GA, January 13-15, 2015 to receive this award. For those attendees interested in displaying a poster at the annual meeting in Savannah, there will be a poster session during the Suppliers Social on Tuesday, January 13th. This session provides an opportunity for individuals to present research or program activities related to control/surveillance/disease testing in mosquitoes or other related vectors.
