MARCH 30 - APRIL 1, 2016

The 41st annual conference will be held March 30 - April 1, 2016 at The Inn at Opryland, 2401 Music Valley Drive, Nashville, TN 37214. Conference room rates for single or double occupancy on exterior rooms only, are $132 (plus 15.25% tax and a $2.50/night occupancy charge). Rooms can be reserved by calling (615) 889-0800. Be sure to say that you will be attending the MAMCA meeting. Space is limited, so reservations must be made by Friday, March 6, 2016, after which time the room rate is not guaranteed. Complimentary self parking is available.

The full conference registration fee is $125.00 and includes all breaks, supplier’s social and lunch banquet. One-day registrations are also available. Payment must be by cash, check, or money order. Credit cards are not accepted. The registration form is available below.

* Mid-Atlantic Mosquito Control Association (MAMCA) Outstanding Student Award

The MAMCA’s Outstanding Student Award is presented by the association to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of a college student pursuing a degree relating to mosquito control or systematics, vector-borne disease, or related discipline that the Association deems appropriate. The award recipient must be a resident of one of MAMCA’s nine member states or must be attending a school of higher learning in one of MAMCA’s nine member states. The member states are Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, and West Virginia.

The award recipient will be an invited guest of the Association and will present their research project to the Association at the annual conference. MAMCA will provide limited compensation for hotel accommodations; costs associated with the annual meeting registration and ground/air transportation expenses. A $500.00 award will also be presented to the recipient at the annual conference. The funding for this award is made possible through the generous financial contribution of Adapco Inc.

Individuals may nominate themselves. The recipient must attend and present at the 41st Annual Conference of the Mid-Atlantic Mosquito Control Association in Nashville, Tennessee on March 30-April 1, 2016 to receive this award.
